Sebastian Klaes is head of the digitisation and curation team. One of the team’s particular areas of focus is the construction of a digitisation hub and the preparation and safeguarding of the analogue and digital inventory of the research library, for international educational media researchers.

Sebastian Klaes has worked at the Georg Eckert Institute since 2008. From 2021 to 2024, he studied part-time in the Master's program in Digital Data Management (DDM) offered jointly by the Humboldt University of Berlin (HU Berlin) and the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences (FHP). He previously obtained a degree in librarianship from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in 2007.
