Kathrin Henne has been a researcher in the Knowledge in Transition department since January 2019. She worked for the ‘Preventing Violent Extremism Through Education (PVE-E)' project until August 2019. Since September 2019 she has been responsible for curriculum analysis in the ‘Subjects for Democracy: Current Challenges and Opportunities in Democracy Education in Germany (DemoS)’ project.

She studied geography and public law at the University of Hamburg, graduating in 2011 with a BSc. She gained her master's degree in ‘Culture of the Techno-scientific World’ from the TU Braunschweig where she focussed on history. Her master’s dissertation addressed ‘The International Debate Surrounding Geographical Nomenclature and how this Influenced German School Atlases following the Second World War’.
